The best place for a letterbox in NSW is
at your property boundary, near the footpath or driveway, with the aperture between 900 mm and 1200 mm from the ground, and the house number clearly visible. The spot should be easily accessible for the postie without obstruction from trees, shrubs, or other obstacles. For properties with a shared driveway, the letterboxes should be located together at the junction of the driveway and the road.
